contributions made by private individuals or groups directly
to the department are processed through the UW Foundation

Making Contributions On-Line
Working together with the UW Foundation, we are able
to offer you “On-Line Giving” through a secure
web site. Below is a list of currently established
funds. When you are ready, just click on the link
for the donation page, use the text field in the section
for “Gift Designation” to specify the fund
you would like to support, and then fill in your personal
information.

If you prefer to pay by check, the check should be made

Fund
This fund supports departmental programs, faculty research,
scholarships, etc. The fund supports the greatest
needs of the department and its students.
Lyle Horn Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships for excellence in overall
performance as an AOS undergraduate.
The fund welcomes contributions and bequests in Professor
Horn’s name from alumni, friends, corporations,
and foundations.
Professor Heinz Lettau & Prof. Eberhard
Wahl Scholarship
This fund provides an AOS undergraduate scholarship
based on need or merit.
The fund welcomes contributions and bequests in Professors
Lettau and Wahl’s names from alumni, friends, corporations,
and foundations.
The Ettenheim Scholarship
This fund provides an AOS undergraduate with hands-on
learning opportunities.
The fund welcomes contributions and bequests in George
Ettenheim’s name from alumni, friends, corporations,
and foundations.
The Warren E. Sunkel Scholarship
This fund provides support to AOS undergraduate students pursuing a degree in meteorology.
