Schedule varies, including nights, mornings, and weekends. Position is full–time hourly.

Qualifications:

BS Degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Sciences (or equivalent)
On–air experience
Experience with computer graphics and radar
Must be able to work in a fast–paced environment and handle multiple tasks including web coverage
Must be able to represent KAAL-TV and Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., in a professional manner
Must be available on short notice in the event of severe weather or other breaking news

Duties: Will prepare, produce, and deliver weathercast for newscasts and produce weather graphics for station website. Must also be able to fill–in for vacationing meteorologists. Must be a confident, self–motivated person who can take responsibility for generating stories, developing contacts, and meeting story deadlines. Must be capable of executing station’s severe weather plan.
