JOB DESCRIPTION: DO YOU WANT OFF WEEKENDS OR ARE YOU A RISING STAR? We want to hear from you. We have a morning Meteorologist/Weather opening in Lima, Ohio. We are looking for personality driven pro interested in working in both weather and news. Five mornings a week. NO WEEKENDS ( well maybe on occasion) We have two live trucks Successful candidate will be expected to be able to go live. Videography, non-linear editing, and writing are all essential.
Successful candidate works well with other team members. Working knowledge of websites moves you to head of the class. Passion for the business is crucial. College degree required, meteorology degree preferred, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL. Knowledge of Weather Central 3D Live a plus. Previous on-air experience preferred. Mandatory Drug Test. The Northland’s NewsCenter is seeking a Meteorologist for our morning newscasts. Our Meteorologists are the market leaders, developing clear accurate forecasts for several daily newscasts for our multi-channel facility. Meteorologists will have a strong community involvement and a friendly on-air personality. Meteorologists will be called on to shoot, write and edit science-based on-air reports.
