Use your entrepreneurial vision and your extensive experience to manage both applied meteorological projects and small motivated teams of highly professional meteorologists and provide the hands-on knowledge required to lead and expand the size, technical knowledge, and reputation of STI's Meteorology Division.

You will have the opportunity to grow your reputation in air quality forecasting, meteorology field work, and meteorological air quality data analysis by developing, participating in, and overseeing challenging air quality and meteorological projects. You will have hands-on responsibility for the design, planning, organization, management, and execution of a variety of interesting projects for industrial, state, local, and federal government clients. You will partner with university staff and subcontractors to assemble and offer the most qualified teams to win environmental projects.

You need a combination of skills to be successful in this position. The most important? Problem-solving. Other skills include proven experience managing applied meteorological projects, such as field measurement and data analysis, and managing individuals, small teams, and schedules. You will also need strong organizational and communication skills. A degree in atmospheric or environmental science, physical science, or engineering and strong scientific capabilities are necessary and consulting experience is valuable.
