Case Study: Mid-Latitude Cyclone
Below are various maps and images for the case study of a strong mid-latitude cyclone that affected the central and eastern portions of the United States and Canada in early November 1998. Most of the surface and upper air maps are in Microsoft Word format. Those maps with "PDF" next to them are viewable in Adobe Reader. The infrared satellite images, radar images, and soundings are GIF files viewable in your web browser.
If you have any troubles downloading or viewing these images, please contact me ASAP (aalopez@wisc.edu). Good luck!

Atmospheric Soundings from Davenport, Iowa (Note: The bold soundings are the skew-t profiles that we saw in class, the in soundings () are the same as the skew-t, but the temperature axis is not skewed. The colored lines still represent all the same variables, dry adiabats, moist adiabats, mixing ratio... the information is the same on these two soundings. Use the one that is easier for you to read.)
