The dream of sailing around the world under natural's wonder, doing research with enthusiasm oceanographers is my original impetus to study ocean. But the more I study it, the more I found how complex the ocean is, and how little I have known about it. I am most interested in physical-biological interaction under different spatial and temporal scales---from which I hope I can trace some patterns of climate change. Currently, I am doing research on satellite optics, especially focusing on Lake Superior. There is a great potential for satellite optics to study coast ocean dynamics, if we can improve the inversion accuracy of case II water. So, let's do it!
Visiting Student: Aug, 2009- Jun, 2010. College of Williams and Mary, Inst. of Marine Sci., VA
M.A: 2009, Boston University, MA: Geography & Remote sensing
B.S. 2007, Wuhan University, China: Focused on GIS and remote sensing
Before 2009, I almost focus on land: remote sensing and terrestrial ecosystem modeling. However, attracted by ocean's dynamic and unpredictability, I started to 'prepare my future', and want to know more of it.
In my free time, I like basketball, swimming and hiking, and painting/ art.
