I am interested in the impacts of climate change on carbon sinks, specifically air-sea interactions. I am also interested in the effect the ocean has on the carbon cycle. Currently, I am working on quantifying the impact of the variability in carbon and nutrient induction on changes in surface ocean productivity and air-sea CO2 fluxes in the North Atlantic.
B.S. 2010, Southwestern University, Georgetown, TX
My B.S. is in Chemistry with a minor in Environmental Studies. For most of my undergraduate career, I studied the stream ecology and population dynamics of a species of salamander that is a candidate to be on the endangered species list. I became interested in biogeochemistry through this research, as well as through my major and my desire to know more about the climate and ocean.
Being ridiculous, unlike the others in our group.
