This page has been developed for use by the educators who are interested in participating in the 1997 Rockets for Schools Project to be held in Sheboygan. The theme of the project is Environment and Space, with an emphasis on meteorology and remote sensing.
The Web has many sites that contain avalanche of weather and climate information. The accompanying pages and links to other web sites have been developed to assist you in finding valuable information. The listing of sources have been accumulated from my experiences gained with the DataStreme Project of the American Meteorological Society as well as teaching an introductory level course called Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences 100: Weather and Climateat the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Since many sites come on line or change frequently, one has to be patient and expect continual construction. Click the reset button often to get the update. If you have any suggestions, comments or complaints, please contact me. You can e-mail me by clicking on the entry hopkins@meteor.wisc.edu found here and on each page. However, if you have a question, or do not mind a response, please include your current email address where I can reply to you. Sometimes my response can't be delivered because the site that the sender may have used doesn't have a recognizable address.
