About the NWS/FAA Stations

This site is your on-line source for climate information pertaining to the seven Wisconsin communities with stations that are usually located at airports and are operated by the National Weather Service (NWS) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). These stations collect hourly information and provide a more extensive variety of published climate data than the cooperative observer network:

  • Primary information on temperature, precipitation, snowfall and wind data
  • Climate statistics, including the current 30 year normals and extremes for current location (in tabular format)
  • Daily maximum and minimum temperatures, as well as cumulative daily precipitation totals (graphical format)
  • Long term variations in temperature and precipitation (graphical format)
