Noah Alviz

Noah is currently a meteorologist at the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Portland, Oregon. Raised in the greater Los Angeles area, he earned his B.S. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (AOS) from UCLA in 2021. He went on to pursue the UW-Madison AOS Professional Master's Program (Forecasting and Modeling track), earning his M.S. in AOS in 2022. As part of the program, Noah interned at the NWS Weather Prediction Center (WPC) in College Park, Maryland. Completing over 900 internship hours at WPC paved the way to his current permanent role in Portland. In his free time, Noah loves to run, hike, hang out with friends, and travel the world. As an aviation enthusiast, he takes every opportunity to be in an airplane and check another country off his bucket list.
